About

The Full Story

Over the years, the fire service has witnessed incredible advancements, particularly in the realm of fire stream development. In the last decade, and especially the past few years, there has been a growing exploration of innovative stream patterns that are changing how we approach fire suppression. These breakthroughs sparked a personal curiosity that would eventually lead to something I never expected—a business.

I became a fireman in 2009, and currently work in Austin, Texas. What began in 2024 as a personal experiment and hobby eventually grew into something more. I’m not an engineer or a businessperson—just a fireman who got curious. One day, I started tinkering with a CAD program to explore an idea I had for a nozzle that combined the simplicity of the smooth bore nozzle I’ve always trusted with the exciting potential of this innovative blade pattern concept. My goal was straightforward: to create an affordable, rugged, and uncomplicated nozzle that firefighters could count on in high-stress, impaired sensory environments. I wanted something bulletproof, with no moving parts, and no need for adjustments—just a reliable tool tailor-made specifically for the residential environments where we most often use these flows, leveraging a narrow blade stream pattern that has been proven to be highly effective.

After refining the design through prototypes and testing, I sent it to several well respected firefighters across the country for feedback. Their insights were invaluable, and after several iterations, I arrived at a design I was proud of—a nozzle that reflected everything I wanted as a firefighter in the field. At first, I never intended to sell it; it was simply something I built for myself. But as the idea spread, and with the encouragement of my mentors, I decided to make it available to others.

This isn’t a big operation. It’s just my wife and I, working hard to provide an affordable, high-quality nozzle built for blue-collar firefighters. We don’t have investors or inflated prices designed for government contracts—just a commitment to making innovative tools accessible to those who need them most. At its core, Delta Brass is focused on providing the tools that empower firefighters to carry out highly effective fire attacks, all for the protection and safety of the public they serve.
